Phuentsholing

Phuentsholing

Phuentsholing, under Chhukha Dzongkhag is a thriving commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian plains. Almost all the commercial needs of the Bhutanese populace are catered to by their Indian counterparts across the border.

Situated directly under the base of the Himalayan range and sharing the border with India, it is a fascinating blend of Indian and Bhutanese cultures.

It is one of the three road entry points to the kingdom.

Places of interest:

  • The Kharbandi Goenpa
  • The Zangdopelri
  • Adjoining town of Jaigaon is often called as the crazy little town and act as the main commercial hub for the Bhutanese.
